CUBRC® announced today it was awarded a contract from the Office of Naval Research worth approximately $2.8 Million over 3 years.  Building on CUBRC's unique expertise in the field of Information Fusion, the domain area for this project will focus on maritime operations situational awareness.  However, the capability is applicable to many other defense and civilian situations requiring complex decision making in a very dynamic environment.

This proposed research will investigate alternative fusion techniques applied to raw data from different sensor types, contextual information, and subject matter experts; all aimed at streamlining information flows to command decision makers.  The ultimate objective of the effort is to improve the quality of real-time decision making by tactical field commanders.
