About the CenTIR > Formation

The CenTIR was initially formed in 1998 to support the Technology Development Initiatives Partnerships Program (TDIPP) established by the TEA 21 legislation.  It continues now under a similar directive provided in the Safe, Accountable, Flexible Transportation Equity Act – A legacy for Users (SAFETEA-LU).
